Brown & Brown acquisition of Loan Protector
In March 2020, Loan Protector Insurance Services agreed to be acquired by Brown & Brown to combine forces with Proctor Financial, Inc. Both leaders in the lender-placed insurance industry, the acquisition integrated two respected companies to deliver the strongest solution to their collective clients. With nearly 50 years of experience servicing the mortgage industry — first as friendly competitors and now as teammates — the newly combined organization has expanded its operational footprint, combined compliance resources and quality standards, increased its teammate talent and skilled subject matter experts, and grown more scalable to welcome a larger roster of clients.
At the end of 2021, Proctor Loan Protector will be tracking 7+ million loans with over 1,200 teammates, in 3 operation centers.
We are proud to announce our new Proctor Loan Protector company name and unveil our new logo.
We’ve changed our company name
We’d like to introduce Proctor Loan Protector.
New name, same values, stronger organization. Our company name merges Proctor and Loan Protector to preserve both organizations’ brand equity and build upon both organizations’ name recognition. The name Proctor Loan Protector demonstrates the unification of two companies to solidify its strong reputation as a leader in providing lender-placed insurance and insurance tracking services.

Our new logo symbolizes our combined strengths
Akin to the Proctor Loan Protector name, our new logo borrows the visual strength of both companies’ logos to create a redesigned corporate identity.
First, the Loan Protector shield, a symbol of strength, protection, and defense, represents Proctor Loan Protector’s promise to deliver insurance products and services that result in the protection of our clients. We adapted the shield with Proctor Financial’s blue color palette and sharp angles to give an abstract twist. Next, our company name in two harmonious colors to demonstrate the collaboration of two companies working as one.
